Feeling the warmth of a fire, listening to the wind, watching the light change. Taking the time to savor these simple experiences, without watching the clock. We believe this is a true luxury in the world we live in today.
In nature, our senses slowly come alive again. We find space to reflect on ourselves and imagine how we want to live. We hope your stay at LODGE7 gives you time for just that.

In Shichirida on the Kuju plateau, at the foot of Aso-Kuju National Park, Lodge7 is tucked into a working farm warehouse surrounded by rice fields.
Behind the door: high ceilings, exposed steel and warm wood. Read in the loft, gather around the fire, or wander to the onsen. A small adventure or a restorative hot-spring retreat: settle into rural life at your own pace.

We provide hand-drip coffee equipment and Full Moon dark-roast beans from Mikazuki Coffee Roastery.
Grind the beans, pour the water, then find your favourite place to drink. Notice how the aroma changes with each moment. Take your time, and enjoy a morning devoted simply to coffee.

The fields outside are cultivated and cared for, day after day. The building that houses Lodge7 is still a working farm warehouse.
We hope you will enjoy this place with a little appreciation for the life that makes it possible. Stay for a while, close to the rhythms of the land.

How many guests can stay?+
The lodge accommodates up to six guests, using the double bed in the container bedroom, the loft sofa bed and additional mattresses. Please check the Airbnb listing for the sleeping arrangements.
Is there a bath or hot spring?+
There is a shower at the lodge, but no bathtub. Shichirida Onsen is a separate hot spring facility about four minutes away on foot. Please check directly for its opening hours and admission.
What about meals and the fire?+
Bring ingredients and cook in the kitchen. Optional extras: wood stove ¥3,000 per use with one bundle of wood; garden fire ¥2,000 per use with one bundle of wood; barbecue ¥3,000 per use including one grill mesh and charcoal. Arrange these when booking. The current Airbnb listing takes precedence.
When are check-in and check-out?+
Check-in is from 15:00 to 19:00, and check-out is before 10:00. Arrival instructions will be provided through Airbnb after booking.
Is there anything to keep in mind?+
The building is still used as a farm warehouse, and agricultural work may take place nearby. Please stay out of fields and working areas. Outdoor activities end at 21:00; after that, please enjoy a quiet evening indoors.
